Creating a Scan Point in the system allows you to scan consignments and apply a particular event to every consignment you scan.
This can be of use when scanning to a drivers van, or into the warehouse as physical proof the parcel has moved or been received.
- Barcode Name is a label for the QR code
- Location name puts a location stamp against the scan
- Event Trigger is the status you want to apply
- Event Details is the narrative that will go along with the status
- Driver instructions is a message that will display to the driver after he scans.
You will then be presented with a QR code that can be placed in the warehouse on in the drivers van for example.
On the driver app you can go to the menu
Scan Barcode where you can then scan the Scan Point
You will then see the Scan name and the driver instructions
You can then scan any relevant packages and the screen will show you what has been scanned.
The relevant event and narrative will then show against the job in Navigator
