What is a Shipping Service Type?
Shipping service types play a crucial role in managing the dispatch of items from your warehouse to customers. This guide will walk you through the process of setting up shipping service options for a seamless order fulfillment experience.
Note: Please be aware that if orders are entering through SUBBU, it is crucial to verify that the Shipping rules in SUBBU are configured correctly to ensure the selection of the appropriate services in the WMS.
Creating a new service type
to add a new service type, select the plus symbol top left to open the detail window. fill in all of the relevant information for your service and click save to add it to your system.
- Code - this is the code used to identify the service (if you use SUBBU this would be used in setting up the shipping rules).
- Name - The service name description,
- Contract - Set this if it is only available for a certain contract.
- Max Weigh, height, width and length - this is optional and can be set if there is a max size that can be sent.
- Default Carrier - Set the Default carrier EG navigator (This is set up in Manage Carriers)

Step-By-Step Guide
1. In WMS Select Shipping
2. Click on Shipping Service Type
3. Click on Create New
4. Enter The Code
This will be the Shipping Name on Shopify Note: % [percent] Wild Card (e.g. %Next Day% would be any string containing the word Next Day)
5. you can Set a name that will be visible in the WMS (this can be anything)
6. Set the Carrier to your Navigator System
7. Save and close
8. Click on SHIPPING
9. Click on Manage Carrier Services
10. Click on Create New
11. Set the code
This will need to match the Service/Product code in Navigator
12. Click on Carrier Service Type: Select the matching Service type that was created in the first steps
13. Click on Carrier and select the navigator carrier
14. Save and Close
15. in shopify if the shipping name matches the one added in the WMS it will select this service

17. After Dispatch this will now select the correct Service in Navigator
