Use Manage Inventory to move stock between warehouse locations and Movement History to review where inventory has previously been held.

This can be useful when relocating stock within the warehouse or investigating previous inventory movements.

Before you start

Make sure:

  • The stock has already been received into Warehouse.
  • You know the warehouse location the stock should be moved to.
  • The destination location has already been created in Warehouse.
  • You are viewing the correct depot.

Move stock to another location

1. Find the stock

Go to:

Inventory → Manage Inventory

Use the search and filter options to find the inventory you want to moveImage Placeholder                   



2. Extract the stock

Right-click the required inventory line and select the Extract option.

This prepares the required stock for movement.

Note: Where the inventory line contains multiple pieces, extracting stock allows the required quantity to be separated before it is moved.

3. Set the new location

Right-click the stock and select:

Set Location

Select the warehouse location the stock should be moved to and confirm the change.

Tip: Move the physical stock at the same time as updating Warehouse so the system continues to match where the inventory is actually stored.

View stock movement history

Warehouse records stock movements so you can review where inventory has been held previously.

Go to:

Inventory → Movement History

Find the required stock to view its location movement history.

The history shows the stock's previous location and current location.

Note: Movement History is useful for checking stock movements and investigating why an item is currently recorded in a particular location.


What happens next?

The stock will now be recorded against its new warehouse location.

Any recorded movement can be reviewed later through Movement History.
