What are Categories?

Categories are for organising and managing your SKUs (Stock Keeping Units). They provide a systematic way to group similar items, making it easier to navigate and analyze your inventory. Creating Categories

To create a new category, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to Categories: Locate the plus sign at the top left of your screen and select it. This will open the detail window for category management.

2. Fill in Details: In the detail window, you'll need to provide various details for the new category.

3. Save Changes: After entering the required information, save your changes.

Category Details

Code: The code serves as a unique identifier for the category. It must be distinct from any other category codes.

Name: This is the user-friendly name of the category, providing a quick reference for its contents.

Active: Indicates whether the category is active or not. Mark as active if the category is currently in use.

Contract: Specifies if the category is associated with a particular contract or if it is a global category applicable across all contracts.

Color: You can assign a color to the category for visual aid, making it easier to distinguish between different categories.

Category: Allows you to set up the category as a child of another category

Notes/Description: This section provides space for any additional notes or descriptions related to the category.
