What are Depots?
Depots serve as essential storage and operational hubs for managing stock movement across different geographical locations. This document provides instructions on setting up and managing depots within our system, allowing users to streamline inventory management and logistics processes effectively.
Setting up a New Depot
To create a new depot, follow these steps:
1. Select the Plus symbol located at the top left to access the detail menu.
2. Set the code and the depot name for easy identification.
General
Configure general settings for the depot:
- Active: Set the depot as active or inactive.
- Operating Hours: Define the operating hours of the depot (ORD is the default).
Orders
Specify order-related settings:
- Order Prefix: Define the prefix for order numbers (Optional).
Movements
Manage movement-related configurations:
- Rows: Add the maximum number of rows in the depot (Optional).
Contacts
Provide contact information for the depot:
- Telephone: Set the telephone number for the depot (Optional).
- Email: Set the email address for the depot (Optional).
- Goods In, Goods Out, and Quarantine: Leave these settings as the default options.
- Organisation: Specify the organisation to which the depot belongs.
- Pick Tote Container: Configure the type of containers available in the depot (Optional).
- Latitude and Longitude: Set the coordinates of the depot (Optional).
- Aisles: Add the maximum number of aisles in the depot (Optional).
- Replenish Depot: Specify the depot responsible for replenishing this depot (Optional).
- Operator: Assign an operator responsible for managing this depot (Optional).
