Use Containers & Dimensions to create the boxes, packaging and other containers used within Warehouse.

Containers can store physical dimensions and capacity information and can also be configured with packing charges for use during the picking and packing process.

Before you start

Decide:

  • What type of container or packaging you are creating.
  • Whether it should be available to all contracts or a specific contract.
  • Whether its dimensions, weight or capacity need to be recorded.
  • Whether using the container should add a packing charge to an order.

1. Open Containers & Dimensions

Go to:

Spatial → Containers & Dimensions

The screen displays the containers that have already been configured in Warehouse.

What happens next?

The container can now be used as part of your Warehouse packing process.

If the container has been linked to a specific contract, it will only be available for that contract. Containers without a contract can be used more widely.

Where packing charges have been configured, the container can also contribute to the charges applied during order processing.

Next step:
Continue to Pick and pack an order to use the configured packaging during order processing.
